The Mt Albert campus of Unitec was evacuated after a bomb threat was received.
Police assessed the situation with support from the campus security team, according to a statement released on Friday by Dan Brady, head of the incident management team for MIT and Unitec.
Brady said the safety of students, staff, and the wider community was the top priority.
“We have received the all-clear for our operations to resume at the site,” he said.
“However, schools have the option to deliver online today to minimise any further disruption to learning caused by this incident. Normal services will resume from tomorrow.”
Earlier in the day, a Unitec staff member said they were concerned about the evacuation. The person also reported that police and ambulances were present at the scene.
