Mawlvi Ijazul Haq alias Khabib, the ‘deputy shadow governor’ of Taliban for Rustaq District in Takhar Province was killed with seven of his men on August 7, reports Bakhtar News Agency. The Special Operations Corps’ press office said that the Taliban were killed during an attack on security and defense bases in Taluqan. According to the report, a large amount of Taliban weapons fell into the hands of the Security Forces during the clash.
