SAA event in Manipur, Lamdeng, Imphal West District area, India on Thu 21st May 2026

On May 21, Manipur Police launched a special operation at Lamdeng under Lamsang Police Station in Imphal West District on May 20, resulting in the arrest of four active cadres of the United National Liberation Front-Pambei (UNLF-P) identified as Heishnam Thomas Singh Arambam Tomtom Singh, Ningthoujam Rakesh Singh and Chingakham Mahesh Singh and recovered of 67 weapons, reports Manipur Police on X. The recovery included 27 AK Rifles series, four 9mm pistols, three M21 rifles, one M4 Rifle, four M16 rifles, one .22 rifle, three M Series, one sniper, one carbine, one gas gun, one air gun, nine shot gun single barrel, tw pump action single barrel, four double barrel, two single barrel, two 3 inch mortar, one RPG7 and 38 other miscellaneous items including explosives, anti-drone jammer, ammunition and other incriminating items.
