On May 20, gunshots were fired at the house of Cricket Canada President Arvinder Khosa in Surrey, Canada, in an incident now being investigated as a possible extortion case, reports The Tribune. The Surrey Police Service (SPS) has initiated an investigation into the shooting that occurred on May 20 at around 4:40 am in the Newton neighbourhood. According to police, multiple bullet marks were found on the doors, windows, and rear of the house. The residence was occupied at the time of the firing, but no injuries were reported. SPSs Extortion Response Team has taken over the probe, while forensic units are collecting physical and digital evidence. Authorities are also examining a possible link to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Police have appealed for public assistance, including CCTV and dashcam footage, to identify suspects. The incident comes shortly after Khosa assumed charge as Cricket Canada President following an annual general meeting on May 9.
