On May 17, a miscreant fired five shots outside the house of jeweller Antarpreet Singh in Choti Baradari, Jalandhar District of Punjab, reports The Tribune. This was the third attack on him in four years. CCTV footage showed a bike-borne assailant firing at the gate and pillar. Antarpreet runs Kanda Jewellers and had lost his wife to cardiac arrest after a 2022 extortion bid. An FIR has been registered under the BNS Section 307 and Arms Act. Investigation is underway.
