On May 16, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed that its cadres temporarily seized control of Dalbandin town in Chagai District of Balochistan Province, according to a statement issued by BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch, reports Zrumbesh English. The outfit stated that Government buildings, including the local Police station, remained under BLA control for several hours. The BLA further claimed that weapons, ammunition and military equipment were seized from the Police Station, while official vehicles were set on fire. No independent confirmation regarding the claims was available at the time of reporting.
