On May 16, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for damaging surveillance infrastructure in Kech District of Balochistan Province, according to a statement issued by BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch, reports Zrumbesh English. The outfit stated that its cadres destroyed surveillance cameras installed at a Pakistani Forces post in the Nasirabad area of Turbat and also disabled a state surveillance camera network in the Hayatabad area of Tump. No casualties were reported in either incident. Pakistani authorities had not issued any official statement regarding the claims at the time of reporting.
