On May 16, unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants shot dead woman Police constable Shakeela in the Absar area of Turbat in Kech District of Balochistan Province, reports Ary News. According to Police, the attackers opened fire on a family travelling on a motorcycle, killing Shakeela on the spot after she sustained five bullet injuries. Her husband and two children were injured in the attack, while a six-month-old child escaped unhurt. Police stated that more than 30 bullets were fired during the incident. Initial investigations indicated that the incident was a targeted killing, as the victim and her husband had reportedly been receiving threats prior to the attack.
