On May 15, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed that its cadres seized and set ablaze five trailers carrying chromite minerals in the Kanak area of Mastung District in Balochistan Province, according to a statement issued by BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch, reportsZrumbesh English. The outfit stated that the vehicles were intercepted on the Quetta-Taftan Highway before being torched. No casualties were reported in the incident. No official statement from Pakistani authorities was available at the time of reporting.
