SAA event in Colombia on Thu 21st May 2026

In operations carried out in the rural area of ​​Canalete, Córdoba, troops from the Sinú Military Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Group (Gaula Militares Sinú), the 7th Urban Special Forces Battalion, the Technical Investigation Corps (CTI) of the Colombian Attorney General's Office (FiscaliaCol), and the Colombian National Police (PoliciaColombia) captured four alleged members of the Zuley Guerra Castro Substructure of the Clan del Golfo Cartel and seized a large quantity of weapons and ammunition. During the operation, clashes occurred with members of this criminal substructure, resulting in one suspect being wounded. He received immediate first aid, in accordance with human rights protocols. Among the items seized were four rifles, three pistols, 1,154 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, 20 magazines, documents of interest to military intelligence, communication radios, more than two million pesos in cash, and three motorcycles.
