Security and strategic intelligence operations in Tepetitlán led to the dismantling of a criminal operations center in Sayula Pueblo. Joint investigations by federal and state forces resulted in the seizure of assets belonging to a local criminal group, weakening its logistical structure in an area historically plagued by fuel theft and territorial disputes over illicit routes. During the operation, authorities confiscated three .223 caliber semiautomatic rifles, an AK-47 assault rifle, more than 500 rounds of ammunition, bulletproof vests, and 17 modified vehicles. In addition, more than 1,000 doses of narcotics were removed from the illegal market. Our team observed a heavy deployment of the National Guard securing the perimeter of the property, which was surrounded by dirt roads and dry brush. The coordinated actions aim to restore public order and regional stability, leaving the weapons and drugs at the disposal of the state prosecutor's office to strengthen the rule of law. The intervention exposes the level of sophistication of local cells compared to the government's national security strategy.
