Security and intelligence operations in the mountainous region of Concordia resulted in the capture of a suspected armed civilian. The deployment of the National Guard and the Mexican Army, focused on controlling criminal assets, allowed them to neutralize the suspect on a strategic road connecting to disputed rural communities. Military personnel seized three rifles, four loaded magazines, 450 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, and two tactical vests. This region of southern Sinaloa has a history of violence related to the control of routes to neighboring states, which has necessitated strengthening the rule of law through permanent patrols to guarantee public order and national security. Following the official investigation, the detainee and the tactical equipment were turned over to federal authorities to ensure transparency in the inquiries into his affiliation with local factions.
