SAA event in Lebanon on Tue 19th May 2026

An army unit implemented security measures in Tripoli, including raids, armored patrols, and the establishment of temporary checkpoints, as part of efforts to combat drug trafficking and apprehend those disrupting security. In the Al-Tall area, three citizens were arrested for possessing military weapons, and a quantity of drugs prepared for distribution was seized in the Abu Samra area. Another unit in the Al-Awza'i area of ​​the southern suburbs arrested (A.J.), who was wanted for several crimes: shooting at a soldier, drug use, involvement in an armed clash, and intimidating and threatening citizens. The seized items were handed over to the relevant authorities, and the detainees were interrogated under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
