On May 13, at around 8:00 AM, Light Infantry Battalion 42 and the permanent military checkpoint at the southern entrance of Shwebo town fired at least 20 heavy artillery shells, followed by another attack around 6:30 PM using two bomb-equipped kamikaze drones.
Due to the attacks, the kamikaze drones landed and exploded at the Chan Thar Village monastery and the Bo Te Kone Village school. A 28-year-old male traveler passing through Aung Chan Thar Village and a 35-year-old man from Bo Te Kone Village suffered shrapnel injuries, a local resident said.
