Two military vehicles coming out of Ngazun town in Mandalay Region were targeted in a mine attack, killing five soldiers and destroying one vehicle by fire, an official from the Youths Of Mandalay (Y.O.M) column told Khit Thit Media.

On May 18 at around 7:00 AM, two military vehicles traveling from Ngazun town toward the 14-Mile Road were ambushed with mines at a location along the road. The lead vehicle was hit by the mines, killing five soldiers onboard and injuring others.
