A fire broke out on the morning of May 17 at a fuel storage and distribution warehouse in Kalwin Sunkhaung Ward, Myeik, Tanintharyi Region, killing three people, according to local residents and social rescue charity groups.

The fire started with an explosion at around 8:00 AM on May 17 at the "Diving Energy Co., Ltd" fuel warehouse located on Bo Bwa Yeik Thar Road, Kalwin Sunkhaung Ward, Myeik.

Due to the explosion and fire, a fuel truck driver and a warehouse employee died instantly at the scene. Furthermore, out of the two individuals who sustained severe burn injuries and were rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment, a male customer who came to buy fuel later passed away.
