On Thursday morning in Colima, elements of the Mexican Navy (SEMAR) and state police responded to a report of armed individuals inside the Hotel California, located on the outskirts of the city. Upon arrival, the security forces came under fire. They returned fire and repelled the attack. The armed group, identified as CJNG hitmen, fled the scene in two vehicles. Authorities managed to intercept one of the vehicles, resulting in the deaths of two gunmen, including a high-priority target known as “El Huesos.” The operation is still underway as authorities search for the remaining suspects.
