On 12 May 2026, Israeli forces infiltrated Hourah and Ras el Khalla area, overnight, near the Waqf building in Deir Mimas (Marjayoun, Al Nabatieh), planted explosives [IEDs] in the solar powered water pumping station, which supplies the entire town with drinking water, and detonated it in a controlled explosion causing severe damage. The station and the well had previously been rehabilitated three times, most recently weeks earlier through a Lebanese Army grant. Casualties unknown.
