Joint security operations between the Quintana Roo Attorney General's Office, the National Defense Secretariat (SEDENA), and the Municipal Police resulted in the seizure of a vehicle containing narcotics and weapons on a strategic route in Tulum. The discovery occurred near the Nuevo Durango-Cobá highway, an area that has seen an increase in tactical intelligence deployment due to territorial disputes between local cells vying for control of illicit assets and drug trafficking in the tourist corridor. During these investigative procedures aimed at strengthening the rule of law, our team observed the perimeter cordon in the Nuevo Durango ejido, where law enforcement agencies located the abandoned vehicle. The government maintains public order through national security patrols in this area, seeking to preserve regional stability in the face of the fragmentation of criminal groups. Inside the Nissan pickup truck, authorities found multiple doses of marijuana, magazines and live ammunition for firearms, as well as the synthetic substance known as molybdenum. The evidence was added to the ongoing investigation to determine the origin of the material.
