On 14 May 2026, Iraqi army conducted a drone strike using CH-5 drone for the first time, targeting a hideout of an ISIL militant in the northeastern part of Shay Valley (Kirkuk). The operation took place after several days of surveillance. The militant had been tracked by the Directorate of Military Intelligence for two days, in cooperation with the Targeting Cell of the Joint Operations Command. The hideout was destroyed and the militant killed. 1 fatality.
