Air Delivered event in Mali on Wed 13th May 2026

On 13 May 2026, the Malian army claimed to have conducted several airstrikes targeting three significant militant bases (likely JNIM, based on location), located 40 km and 43 km west of Didieni, coded to the nearest populated location Wenia (Didieni, Kolokani, Koulikoro). At the first base, at least 15 militants were neutralized (meaning killed), and their motorcycles were destroyed. At the second base, at least 15 militants were also neutralized (meaning killed), and various encampment equipment was destroyed, including tents and solar panels. At the third camp, several militants were killed, unspecified fatalities coded as 3, and at least five vehicles hidden under trees were also destroyed. Total 33 (15+15+3) fatalities coded.
