On 10 May 2026, in La Angalia (Tibu, Norte de Santander), military forces bombed members of the ELN's Luis Enrique Leon Guerra Front near the Catatumbo River during an overnight military operation in the area. The operation included an air assault and artillery fire against camps belonging to the armed group. According to military authorities, seven ELN fighters were killed; however, their bodies were removed amid attacks with explosives dropped from drones by the ELN. Meanwhile, the ELN denied that the bombing hit them or that they suffered any fatalities during the operation. 7 fatalities.
