On 6 May 2026, in Phunom village (Tedim township, Falam district, Chin state), the Myanmar military conducted drone strikes by dropping three bombs on the Assembly of God Church at about 4 pm. 7 members of the People's Defense Force - Zoland (5 women and 2 men), along with 3 civilians who were cooking at the church, were killed. Several others, including a pastor, also sustained injuries. Later that day, the military conducted another drone strike at around 5 pm, burning down the whole church. 10 fatalities.
