Today, May 16, at around 2:00 AM, the military council army used a jet fighter that flew from the Tada-U airbase in Mandalay Region to drop one 500-pound bomb and one 300-pound bomb (a total of two bombs) on the Ywa Oo monastery in Shar Pin Kyun village, Chaung-U township. Although some parts of the Ywa Oo monastery buildings were slightly damaged due to this late-night airstrike, it is learned that monks and villagers were not injured.
