On May 14 at around 10:00 PM, soldiers at a checkpoint near the agriculture office used small arms to fire on Daw Hla Hla Win and U Thein Hla, who were riding a motorcycle back to Kyu Taw village from a monastery in Kway Tet village, Thegon township.

Daw Hla Hla Win was hit by bullets and died on the spot during the shooting, and the terrorist military transported her body to Thegon Hospital that same night.
