SAA event in Mexico on Sat 16th May 2026
16th May 2026
A woman was robbed by an armed man on the streets of the Buenavista neighborhood, second section, in Tultitlán, State of Mexico. Surveillance cameras captured the moment the assailant cornered her and demanded her cell phone under direct threats, while another accomplice waited to escape on a motorcycle after completing the robbery. The case once again highlights the pressure the municipal and state governments face regarding national security and public order within the urban corridor of the Valley of Mexico, where cell phone and motorcycle thefts linked to local criminal cells keep neighborhoods with high pedestrian traffic under surveillance. In several municipalities in the State of Mexico, security and intelligence operations have identified similar patterns: armed assailants, quick escape routes, and attacks in areas with limited police presence. Although no arrests have been reported, the images are already circulating among authorities to support prosecutorial proceedings and strengthen efforts to control stolen technological assets.
