SAA event in Mexico on Sun 17th May 2026
17th May 2026
A commando executed nine members of a family in the community of Texcalapa de Juárez, Tehuitzingo. The civilian victims were found bound inside a building and included six males—two minors aged 10 and 14—two adult women, and a nearly two-month-old baby. Another woman who survived the initial armed attack died en route to the hospital near the El Pitayo intersection, completing the mass killing. The violent attack in the Mixteca region of Puebla reflects a growing trend of local criminal disputes over control of assets and strategic routes. This region has a history of significant crime, such as the execution of a man in front of the Himno Nacional elementary school on February 4. The area suffers from incursions by criminal cells seeking to destabilize public order and impose their operational hegemony on the border between Puebla and Guerrero. Federal and state government forces deployed immediate security operations to secure local access points. Military and civilian intelligence personnel are gathering evidence at the crime scene under strict investigative procedures aimed at strengthening the rule of law and institutional transparency. The Puebla Attorney General's Office has launched a criminal investigation into this attack on national security.
