Mine event in Sagaing Region, Yinmabin Township area, Myanmar on Sun 10th May 2026

A terrorist military column advancing from Salingyi and Yinmarbin towns in Sagaing Region was hit by a landmine attack using more than 30 directional mines, resulting in heavy casualties on the military side, Ko Zarmani from the SSTS Zarmani Guerrilla Force told Khit Thit Media.

On May 10, from around 11:00 AM until about 6:30 PM, revolutionary forces launched a landmine attack with over 30 directional mines near the Pho Win Taung junction on the Yinmarbin-Nyaungbingyi road section against a terrorist military column of about 200 troops coming out from the Chinese Wanbao company in Salingyi Township, as well as a column coming out from Yinmarbin Town.

During the landmine attack, many terrorist military personnel were killed and a large number were injured. Following the attack, the bodies of the dead soldiers and the wounded were transported to Monywa General Hospital. The revolutionary forces were able to withdraw without sustaining any casualties.
