A new massacre left ten members of a single family dead in the community of Texcalapa, in the municipality of Tehuitzingo, Puebla. The victims of the attack are six men, three women, and a minor. Initial lines of investigation by local authorities suggest the attack stemmed from a family dispute. According to police reports, a group of armed men violently stormed a property in the town and opened fire on the people inside. Preliminary reports from security forces indicate that several of the bodies showed signs of having been bound before being shot. The Puebla State Attorney General's Office announced the formal opening of the corresponding investigation file following the report of the attack. The initial deployment was carried out by members of the Municipal Police, who went to the residence after receiving calls alerting them to gunfire and wounded individuals. Upon entering the residence, officers and emergency services found most of the victims already deceased due to severe gunshot wounds. One of the women critically injured in the shooting was rescued alive and taken to an ambulance, but sadly died en route to the regional hospital.
