The military junta's forces were attacked with landmines near the border post where Natmauk Township in Magway Region and Yamethin Township in Mandalay Region meet, and there could be casualties on the junta's side, according to the military operations department of the Beikthano People's Defense Army.

An official from the military operations department told Mizzima that the convoy and infantry column of the junta forces coming from Natmauk toward Yamethin Township were attacked with landmines yesterday morning (May 14) at 9:42 AM.
