Residents of a five-story building in the capital were evacuated after one of the residents called the police and said he wanted to let gas into the apartment and cause an explosion.

Law enforcement officers literally : "This morning, the 102 hotline in Kyiv received a message from a man who stated his intention to let natural gas into an apartment in a multi-story building on Ihor Turchyn Street and cause an explosion."
Details : An investigative and operational team, patrol officers, explosives service personnel, and dog handlers arrived at the scene.
The residents of the building were evacuated, and the building's gas supply was shut off.
"The officers also quickly located the apartment where the man was. He locked himself inside the apartment and threatened to harm himself through the door, and also claimed to have a grenade," the police added.
As a result of negotiations, the 40-year-old man later left the apartment.
No explosives were found during a search of his home.
The attacker has now been taken to the police station. Investigators have initiated criminal proceedings under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (hooliganism).
The issue of notifying the violator of the suspicion is being resolved.
