Cambodian soldiers fired 11 rounds along the O'Semed border, presumably to check the battle line. Thailand fired two warning shots after detecting foreigners approaching the barbed wire fence. Vigilance is maintained 24 hours a day. At 6:40 PM on May 13, 2026, the 2nd Army Area received a report from the Suranaree Task Force that Cambodian soldiers fired a total of 11 rounds along the O'Semed area at several locations. The incident occurred at dusk as the sky darkened and rain threatened. The report indicates the firing started near Hill 278, east of Chong Chom, and continued down towards the market on the eastern side of the road leading into the O'Semed area. Approximately 1-2 rounds were fired at each point, totaling 11 rounds. Shortly after the incident, heavy rain fell, and no further movement from the Cambodian side has been detected. Earlier the same day, at approximately 9:00 AM, officials detected foreigners, appearing to be Westerners of unknown nationality, approaching the barbed wire fence on the road leading into O'Semed. Officials fired two warning shots as a security measure. To prevent incursions and avoid misunderstandings that could affect border security, security forces assessed that the Cambodian firing resembled a "test firing" exercise. The overall situation remains under control, and Thai personnel continue to maintain a 24-hour watch. #CambodianMilitary #ThaiCambodian #2ndArmyArea #ThaiCambodianBorder
