Kidnappers Kill Farmer, Abduct Three in Taraba State Attack

Suspected kidnappers have killed a farmer and abducted three civilians during an attack in Karim Lamido Local Government Area of Taraba State.

Security sources said troops of Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) deployed at Kambari responded at about 10:00 a.m. on May 13 following reports of kidnapping activities around Kufai Village in the area.

On arrival at the scene, the troops reportedly discovered that the attackers had already fled after killing a local farmer and abducting three residents.

The deceased victim was evacuated by security personnel and later buried according to Islamic rites in line with local customs.

Security forces have since intensified patrols and search operations in the area aimed at rescuing the abducted victims and tracking down the fleeing kidnappers.
