The Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) cadres destroyed two electricity transmission towers in the Bakhtiarabad area of Sibi District in Balochistan on the night of May 14, reports Zrumbesh. The BRG claimed responsibility for the attack. According to a statement issued by BRG ‘spokesperson’ Dostain Baloch, the group’s cadres planted explosives on two power transmission towers carrying electricity from the Uch Power Plant to Quetta, causing significant damage. “Such attacks will continue until the liberation of Balochistan,” the statement read. No casualties were reported. Pakistani authorities have not yet issued an official response.
