Security Forces (SFs) foiled a suicide attack near the border of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab provinces, killing the suicide bomber before he could reach the security checkpoint at Mankur check post in Attock District of Punjab on May 13, reports The Express Tribune. An unnamed security official said the bomber drove an explosives-laden vehicle towards the Mankur check post, a key installation overseeing movement between the two provinces. The security personnel opened fire after identifying the vehicle as suspicious, triggering a premature explosion.
