On May 13, one Naga civilian identified as Wilson Thanga was killed and his wife injured in a suspected militant ambush near Joujangtek and Nungsai villages in Noney District of Manipur, reports India TodayNE. According to officials, unidentified gunmen opened fire on the couple’s vehicle around 6:30 pm while they were returning home from Imphal. Thanga died on the spot, while his wife sustained injuries.
