On May 11, two cadres of the Ang Mai-led National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Khaplang (NSCN-Kang Mai) were killed during an encounter with Assam Rifles in the Miao area of Changlang District in Arunachal Pradesh, reports Northeast Now. The deceased militants were identified by the outfit as ‘lieutenant colonel’ Umkong and ‘sergeant’ Enu. Security officials said arms and ammunition were recovered from the site following the operation.
