A 21-year-old Egyptian citizen and at least 13 other unidentified individuals were involved in an armed robbery against a group of migrants (at least two). The perpetrators, armed with a pistol, knives, and a wooden bat, intercepted the victims near the border and demanded money and phones. During the incident, one man sustained a serious gunshot wound to the foot, while another was lightly injured after being struck with a knife handle. The suspects fled the scene after realising the victims had no money. The main suspect was arrested on 8 May 2026, and the Cantonal Court ordered a one-month detention.
