A man from Pan Hike village, Nar Aik Khan village tract in Kyaukme Township, Northern Shan State, died when a remnant of war, identified as an RPG, exploded while he was attempting to disassemble it, according to a statement released today, May 12, by the Shan State Progress Party (SSPP).

The report states that yesterday, May 11, around 6:00 PM, the man found the unexploded remnant near his farm and brought it home. It exploded while he was trying to take it apart, killing him instantly at the scene.
