Russian drones set fire to the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone again.

In the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, a Russian drone attack on May 14 caused fires in hard-to-reach areas.

Details: Only the day before, rescuers and employees of enterprises under the management of the State Agency for the Protection of the Environment managed to extinguish a large-scale fire that had been raging for several days, when the territory of the Chernobyl zone came under attack again.

On May 14, as a result of the shooting down of a Russian Geran-2 UAV, new foci of fire emerged on the territory of the Opachytskyi Environmental Protection Research Department of the Chernobyl Radiation and Ecological Biosphere Reserve.

The situation is complicated by heavy smoke, fallen trees, and difficult terrain. Heavy equipment, bulldozers, and personnel with chainsaws are working to ensure access to the fire.
