Local residents told Khit Thit Media that the terrorist military raided the Hway Du Lyar IDP (Internally Displaced Persons) camp in Hpruso Township, Karenni State, while firing weapons and setting fire to houses.

At approximately 2:00 PM on May 8, a terrorist military column suddenly entered the Hway Du Lyar IDP camp in Hpruso Township, firing their weapons and torching homes.

Due to the arson by the terrorist military, numerous houses in the Hway Du Lyar IDP camp were burned to ashes, and residents were forced to flee to safety. Although the military column has since departed the camp, residents have not yet been able to return to their homes.
