Local residents told Khit Thit Media that two civilians were killed, three were injured, and several homes were destroyed after the terrorist military attacked Min Yar model village and Naung Rin village in Paungbyin Township, Sagaing Region, using heavy artillery and drones.

At approximately 3:25 PM on May 8, the terrorist military fired 120mm heavy artillery shells into Min Yar model village in Paungbyin Township despite there being no ongoing fighting. Two residents, 78-year-old Daw Mel Sein and 75-year-old Daw Mya Thein, were hit by the artillery fire and died on the spot.
