At least 10 soldiers were killed during attacks on military columns heading to Tedim, Chin State, to reinforce troops, while Chin revolutionary allied forces were forced to relinquish one camp, a Chin revolutionary source told Yangon Khit Thit News Agency.
On the afternoon of May 4, Chin revolutionary allied forces intercepted a military column of approximately 200 personnel advancing from Kalay, Sagaing Region, toward Tedim Township along the Thaing Ngin-Tedim road. The ambush, which occurred near Than Mway Taung (also known as Lay Htan Kone) and At Lwal village, resulted in at least 5 military deaths.
The military column reportedly departed Kalay on May 2 with the objectives of seizing control of Kennedy Peak and providing reinforcements to Light Infantry Battalion 269 based in Tedim.
