On March 4, 30 drones were spotted over Abkhazia; they were shot down by Abkhazian and Russian air defense forces. Drone wreckage was found in 11 settlements, causing a power outage in one village.

Thirty drones were spotted in the skies over Abkhazia on March 4, reported the commander of the Abkhaz Air Force and Air Defense, Lieutenant General Adgur Gumba.

"Yesterday, we encountered an unprecedentedly large-scale use of UAVs. Previously, we had also recorded isolated overflights—up to 5-7 units—some of which were shot down, but we kept this under wraps to avoid creating panic. Today, when aircraft crashes have been recorded in many populated areas, there's nothing to hide: Abkhazia's and Russia's air defenses are working together," Apsnypress quotes him as saying.

According to him, fragments of downed drones have been found in 11 populated areas. "Targets are either physically destroyed by missiles and shells, or disabled by electronic warfare. In the latter case, the drone becomes uncontrollable. Our units are trying to adjust fire so that the downed drone doesn't glide toward residential buildings. Yesterday, one of the drones damaged a high-voltage power line, but SUES specialists quickly restored power," he was quoted as saying in the publication.

On the evening of March 4, it was reported that a drone crashed in the village of Pokveshi in the Ochamchira District. "The crash damaged a transformer, leaving half of the village without power," Aiashara reported.

The " Caucasian Knot " also reported that an explosion occurred on Mount Mamzyshkha in Abkhazia on February 23 , and debris was found at the site, which, according to preliminary reports, belonged to a UAV.
