At least 49 Taliban militants have been killed in military operations in Helmand Province of Afghanistan on July 31, reports Bakhtar News Agency. Spokesman for 215th Maiwand Corps told that the Taliban militants were killed in an airstrike by security and defence forces in outskirts of Lashkargah the provincial capital. Two key Taliban militants were also killed in the operation. The source added that 40 other armed Taliban militants were injured during the operation.
