On 8 May 2026, Russian Forces carried out drone strikes at unspecified targets in Zaporizhia city and in the Zaporizkyi district, Zaporizhia. As a result, 2 civilians were injured. Moreover, a regional military administration received 51 reports of damage to infrastructure, housing and cars in the Zaporizhia region. Additonally, drone operators (of the Russian 'Group 23' Detachment) struck a civilian vehicle as it drove on the road in Zaporizhzhia city. As a result of the explosion, the vehicle was damaged and civilian(s) inside likely injured.
