On 8 May 2026, according to the satellite imaginary and local sources, a large electrical substation, the 220/35/10 kV 'Krasnoperekopsk', was damaged and burned in the Russian-held Krasnoperekopsk (Yany Kapu), Crimea. It is likely that Ukrainian mid-range drones struck the energy infrastructure. Casualties unknown. Moreover, following the drone strikes, Armyansk, Alushta, Simferopol and part of the Perekopskyi district were left without electricity.
