On 7 May 2026, a landmine planted by unknown gunmen during previous clashes in the village of Al-Sirmaniyah, in the countryside of Hama, an area that was under the former regime's control during military operations, detonated under a vehicle, injuring two members of a technical team affiliated with the General Authority for the Management and Development of Al-Ghab . There were no fatalities.
