On 2 May 2026, in Kyaike Kwin village (coded as Kyaukkyi) (Kyaukkyi township, Taungoo district, Bago-East region), the Myanmar military fired heavy weapons with four 120mm shells from Tha Yar Kone village toward Kyaike Kwin village. Two of the shells exploded outside the village, and the other two landed within the village and damaged three houses and one hand-tractor. Casualties unknown.
