7th May 2026
On 7 May 2026, morning, unknown forces (likely linked to Iranian-backed groups due to ongoing hostilities between the United States, Israel, and Iran) fired 4 ballistic missiles at a Komala party camp in the Balisan area (Shaqlawa, Erbil). Two missiles were intercepted, another one fell in an open area outside the camp, and the fourth missile impacted the camp, causing material damage. There were no casualties. Another drone strike targeted a KDPI base in the same area that day (coded as a separate event).
